Career and educational initiatives
His full name is Abd al-Muhsin ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Qasim. Holding a doctorate in Islamic studies, he was appointed as an imam and preacher (khatib) at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, alongside his service as a judge at the General Court in the same city.
Al-Qasim has been actively engaged in pedagogical curricula and Islamic text verification. He oversaw the Mutun Talib al-Ilm (Texts for the Student of Knowledge) project, an extensive pedagogical program of classical didactic primers critically edited across more than two hundred manuscript copies. In conjunction with this initiative, a dedicated department was established at the Prophet's Mosque to facilitate the memorization and study of these core texts for students throughout the year, complemented by distance-learning circles.
In legal scholarship, he authored al-Masbuk ala Minhat al-Suluk fi Sharh Tuhfat al-Muluk, a four-volume comparative legal supercommentary. He also wrote Khutuwat ila al-Saada (Steps to Happiness), a spiritual and ethical treatise presenting concise reflections modeled after classical works of spiritual counsel.
