List of Works

  • This specialized biographical treatise in hadith studies compiles and examines the biographies of hadith transmitters who shared the agnomen (kunya) Abu Zurʿah. It addresses the scholarly necessity in transmitter criticism (ʿilm al-rijāl) of identifying names and kunyas to avoid mistaking a single person for two distinct narrators or conflating separate individuals, particularly resolving ambiguities surrounding the unconditional use of the title Abu Zurʿah in hadith literature.

  • This academic study and critical edition examines the life, hadith scholarship, and critical methodology of the third-century AH hadith master Abu Zur'a al-Razi. Along with an extensive biographical and methodological analysis, the work provides a critical edition of Abu Zur'a's Kitab al-Du'afa' and his responses to Abu Uthman al-Bardha'i, complemented by a reference compendium of his assessments of narrators across transmitter criticism and hidden defects.

  • This historical and theological treatise is dedicated to establishing the historical reality of Abdullah ibn Saba against modern skepticism. Drawing on early and authoritative Shi'i texts as well as classical Sunni literature, it refutes twentieth-century writers who characterized Ibn Saba as a fictional figure or misidentified persona, tracing the emergence of the Saba'iyya sect and documenting the specific theological doctrines attributed to him.

  • This modern hadith study examines the authenticity and implications of a classical appraisal of Sunan Ibn Majah attributed to Abu Zur'a al-Razi. It analyzes historical reports regarding Abu Zur'a's evaluation of weak narrations in the compilation and provides a detailed critical catalog of narrators in Sunan Ibn Majah whom Abu Zur'a deemed weak, categorizing those unique to Ibn Majah among the Six Books as well as those shared with other compilers.

  • This specialized hadith study examines conflicting evaluations of narrators in the science of hadith criticism (al-jarh wa-l-ta'dil), focusing on the rulings of Yahya ibn Ma'in. It addresses the phenomenon where critics issued multiple, seemingly contradictory judgments of appraisal and disparagement regarding the same transmitter, analyzing previous literature on disputed narrators and formulating systematic principles and methodological steps to harmonize such divergent reports.
