Scholarly Contributions

Al-Namlah's scholarly work focused primarily on the systematization and teaching of legal theory and jurisprudence, characterized by reconciling theoretical maxims with practical legal branches across the major Sunni legal schools . In Ithaf Dhawi al-Basa'ir bi-Sharh Rawdat al-Nazir, an extensive eight-volume commentary on Ibn Qudamah's manual, as well as in his five-volume comparative manual al-Muhadhdhab fi Ilm Usul al-Fiqh al-Muqaran—which he completed in Riyadh in Rajab 1419 AH—he laid out divergent juristic opinions, evaluated their respective proofs, and derived standard legal principles . Following student requests for a condensed instructional manual that focused directly on preponderant positions, he completed al-Jami li-Masa'il Usul al-Fiqh wa-Tatbiqatuha ala al-Madhhab al-Rajih in Rabi' al-Awwal 1420 AH .
