Subul al-Salam min Sahih Sirat Khayr al-Anam (Arabic: سبل السلام من صحيح سيرة خير الأنام, lit. 'Paths of Peace from the Authentic Biography of the Best of Mankind') is a work on the prophetic biography by the Jordanian preacher Abu Islam Salih ibn Taha Abd al-Wahid (d. 1439 AH / 2018 CE) .
Origin and Composition
The work originated as a series of Friday sermons delivered by the author during his tenure as imam and preacher at the Ibrahim al-Hajj Hasan Mosque in Amman, Jordan . Following previous sermon cycles on creed and supplication, he devoted this sequence to the events of the Prophet's life . Abd al-Wahid concluded the text on 23 Sha'ban 1424 AH (19 October 2003 CE) .
Method and Content
The book presents the narrative of the Prophet Muhammad's life by relying strictly on authentic and rigorously verified reports, setting aside weak or unsubstantiated historical traditions . In addition to recounting historical events, the work focuses on deducing practical lessons, spiritual admonitions, and moral reflections, with an emphasis on addressing issues relevant to contemporary Muslim life .
Review and Publication
The text was reviewed and prefaced by the Jordanian scholars Salim ibn 'Id al-Hilali and Mashhur ibn Hasan Al Salman . It was published in Amman jointly by Maktabat al-Ghuraba' and al-Dar al-Athariyyah, with a second edition appearing in Rabi' al-Awwal 1428 AH .
