Silsilat al-Fawaid al-Hadithiyya wal-Fiqhiyya (The Series of Hadith and Jurisprudential Benefits) is a multi-volume contemporary Islamic reference work compiled by Abu Uways al-Kurdi, gathering hadith verifications, theological analyses, and legal rulings drawn primarily from the research review sessions of the Egyptian scholar Mustafa ibn al-Adawi with his students .

Background and Compilation

The work was titled in full Silsilat al-Fawaid al-Hadithiyya wal-Fiqhiyya al-Muntaqat min Majlis al-Allama al-Muhaddith Mustafa ibn al-Adawi ma'a Tullabihi (The Series of Hadith and Fiqh Benefits Selected from the Gathering of the Hadith Scholar Mustafa ibn al-Adawi with His Students) . The material was gathered by Abu Uways Ashraf ibn Nasr ibn Sabir al-Burullusi al-Kurdi during lessons dedicated to reviewing research authored by students in al-Adawi's scholarly circle .

Mustafa al-Adawi wrote a foreword endorsing the compilation on 9 Dhu al-Qi'da 1442 AH (19 June 2021 CE), noting that Abu Uways incorporated personal research, performed hadith sourcing (takhrij), and provided critical rulings on narrations alongside the reviewed student papers . The initial six volumes were completed on 19 Jumada al-Ula 1443 AH (23 December 2021 CE) . Abu Uways subsequently compiled supplementary volumes: parts seven through nine were completed on 21 Jumada al-Ula 1444 AH (15 December 2022 CE), and parts ten through twelve were organized following their completion on 26 Safar 1445 AH (10 September 2023 CE) .

Structure and Content

The compendium is organized topically into traditional thematic sections, opening with Kitab al-Tawhid (The Book of Monotheism), which explores the theological meanings and jurisprudential aspects of the Divine Names and Attributes through Quranic verses, authentic hadiths, and classical scholarly commentaries . The subsequent sections address diverse branches of jurisprudence (fiqh), hadith criticism ('ilal), and isnad evaluation .

In his methodology, the compiler records textual variants across primary hadith compendia, distinguishes authentic narrations from anomalous (shadhdh) or misread (musahhaf) wordings, and includes written verdicts and oral notations delivered by al-Adawi during their sessions . To preserve continuity across installments, minor corrections, retractions, and addenda concerning earlier volumes were placed in specialized appendices at the conclusion of later parts . The work also includes an extensive bibliographic index listing the authored works, critical editions, and endorsed treatises of Mustafa al-Adawi, assembled by Yahya ibn Mustafa ibn al-Adawi .
