Origin and Nature

The work originated from the broadcast radio program Nur ala al-Darb (Light Along the Path), an episodic Islamic question-and-answer show that reached listeners across Saudi Arabia and various other countries . On the show, questions were submitted by listeners regarding practical religious concerns, interpersonal relations, and transactions . The broadcast responses, originally recorded on audio tapes, were later transcribed, compiled, and arranged thematically for print .

Scope and Method

The collection spans a broad range of Islamic disciplines, addressing doctrinal questions, ritual worship, family and social duties, commercial transactions, and modern everyday dilemmas . In formulating his answers, Ibn Uthaymin grounded his rulings directly in textual evidence from the Quran and the Sunnah, presenting explanations in an accessible style suitable for both common listeners and students of knowledge .

Publication

The work has been published by Mu'assasat al-Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin al-Khayriyya (the Charity Foundation of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin) in Unayzah, with its first edition appearing in 1434 AH .
