al-Fasl wal-Wasl fi al-Quran al-Karim: Dirasah fi al-Uslub (Disjunction and Conjunction in the Holy Quran: A Stylistic Study) is a rhetorical and stylistic work that examines al-fasl (disjunction or omission of conjunctions) and al-wasl (conjunction or joining clauses by connectives). It traces the historical evolution of the concept across Arabic linguistic disciplines and presents a critical stylistic reappraisal of classical rhetorical rules through direct application to the Quranic text.
