Scholarly Thought
Ibrahim's academic output focuses on the systematization of contemporary legal rulings, theological pedagogy, and political thought. In his doctoral work, Fiqh al-Nawāzil lil-Aqalliyyāt al-Muslimah, he sought to construct a comprehensive legal and methodological framework grounded in overarching objectives of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharīʿah) and legal maxims to address the unique challenges of Muslim communities residing outside Muslim-majority societies, covering domains from ritual worship to personal status and political engagement . He argued for a balanced jurisprudential methodology that rejects both rigid literalism and ungrounded leniency .
In the sphere of contemporary Islamic activism, he published Fiqh al-Awlawiyyāt fī al-Khiṭāb al-Salafī al-Muʿāṣir baʿd al-Thawrah (The Jurisprudence of Priorities in Contemporary Salafi Discourse After the Revolution) in Cairo in 1433 AH (2012 CE), offering a critical and prescriptive analysis of the priorities, institutional challenges, and strategic direction of Salafi movements following the 2011 Egyptian revolution . He also addressed geopolitical and ideological confrontations in his treatise Qirāʾah fī al-Istrātījiyyah al-Gharbiyyah li-Ḥarb al-Islām baʿd al-Ḥādī ʿAshar min Sibtimbir 2001 (A Reading of the Western Strategy in the War on Islam After September 11, 2001) .
