Ibrahim al-Ali (d. 1425 AH / 2004 CE), fully named Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Ali, was a contemporary Islamic scholar and researcher known for his biographical and hadith studies, most notably his compilation Sahih al-Sira al-Nabawiya .

Scholarly Contributions and Reception

Al-Ali dedicated his research to the critical verification of historical and prophetic reports, focusing on filtering narrations according to hadith standards . His primary work, Sahih al-Sira al-Nabawiya ("The Authentic Prophetic Biography"), was published in Amman in 1415 AH / 1995 CE with a foreword by Omar Sulaiman al-Ashqar and a review by Hammam Sa'id . In this book, al-Ali gathered narrations detailing the life of the Prophet Muhammad from canonical hadith collections, arranging them chronologically while restricting his material strictly to authentic reports and excluding weak and fabricated accounts . Al-Ashqar commended the endeavor as the fulfillment of a long-standing aspiration for scholars and students of knowledge, observing that only one contemporary researcher had preceded al-Ali in attempting such an undertaking .

Later scholars and specialized references have cited al-Ali's compilation alongside Akram Diya al-Umari's al-Sira al-Nabawiya al-Sahiha as one of the distinguished contemporary works dedicated to authenticating the prophetic biography . In the field of text editing and manuscript verification, al-Ali also collaborated with Ahmad al-Rifa'i on editing the classical treatise Kitab al-Ru'ya .
