Abd al-Karim al-Durayni (fl. 15th century AH / 21st century CE) is a contemporary Jordanian hadith researcher, known for his biographical work Bulugh al-Amani fi Tarajim al-Rijal alladhina lam Ya‘rifhum al-Imam al-Albani ("The Attainment of Hopes in Biographies of Men Whom Imam al-Albani Did Not Identify") .

Biography and Scholarly Work

His full name is Abu Abd al-Rahman Abd al-Karim ibn Rasmi ibn Nimr Al al-Durayni . He served as a muezzin and resided in the al-Yadudah district (Hayy al-Abrar) in Amman, Jordan, near the al-Khayrat Mosque .

Al-Durayni specialized in the critical study of hadith narrators (‘ilm al-rijal). His major work, Bulugh al-Amani fi Tarajim al-Rijal alladhina lam Ya‘rifhum al-Imam al-Albani, was completed in Jumada al-Ula 1427 AH (June 2006 CE), though it had been drafted roughly six years earlier, and was later published in Amman in 1433 AH (2012 CE) . In this biographical dictionary, al-Durayni systematically tracked, researched, and sought to identify the transmitters whom the hadith scholar Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani had pronounced unknown, unlocated, or unbiographized across his various publications, verifying their names, correcting textual corruptions, and locating their entries in classical biographical literature .
