Tasmiyat ma intaha ilayna min al-ruwah an Said ibn Mansur aliyan (The Enumeration of What Has Reached Us of the High-Isnad Narrators from Sa'id ibn Mansur) is a specialized hadith tract by the hadith master Abu Nu'aym al-Asbahani (336–430 AH / 948–1038 CE) documenting transmitters who related hadith directly from Sa'id ibn Mansur (d. 227 AH) through elevated chains of transmission (asānīd ʿāliyah) .
Purpose and Scope
Abu Nu'aym states in the introduction that his objective was to document every student and companion of Sa'id ibn Mansur whose reports reached him with an elevated chain . He cites Sa'id ibn Mansur's early date of death and his distinguished status in reliability and virtue as the primary motivations for assembling the work, describing him as a trustworthy, truthful scholar based in Mecca from whom major memorizers—including Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Harun al-Hammal, and Abu Yahya Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahim Sa'iqah—transmitted .
Structure and Method
The tract is organized by transmitter: for each narrator who related from Sa'id ibn Mansur, Abu Nu'aym cites a single hadith or report under their name with its full chain of transmission in order to record both their names and their total count . Across various entries, Abu Nu'aym also provides critical commentary on the transmissions, identifying unique paths (afrād), chains transmitted in raised (marfūʿ) or stopped (mowqūf) forms, and evaluating potential errors (awhām) or variant paths across different chains .
Manuscripts and Publication
Manuscript copies of the treatise are preserved at the Zahiriyya Library in Damascus under multiple collective volumes, including Majmu' 83 (folios 19–25) and Majmu' 101 (folios 206–218) . The text was edited by Abdullah ibn Yusuf al-Juday' and published by Dar al-'Asimah in Riyadh in 1409 AH (1989 CE) .
