Tahsin al-Mujtama al-Muslim Didd al-Ghazw al-Fikri (Fortifying Muslim Society Against Intellectual Invasion) is a contemporary treatise written by the Saudi scholar Hammoud al-Ruhayli addressing the ideological challenges facing Muslim societies and outlining mechanisms to safeguard Islamic identity .

Background and Composition

The author composed the work based on the curriculum he taught for the course "Intellectual Invasion" to fourth-year students in the Faculty of Da'wah and Usul al-Din at the Islamic University of Madinah . Al-Ruhayli prepared the book to address the needs of Muslims and contribute to confronting ideological challenges .

Methodology

In compiling the study, al-Ruhayli documented Quranic verses by attributing them to their respective surahs . He cited hadiths by indicating the volume, page, chapter, book, and hadith number, referencing standard evaluation works to state the authenticity grading for narrations outside the two Sahih collections of al-Bukhari and Muslim . He also explained obscure vocabulary terms, provided descriptions of key sects and schools of thought referenced in the text, cited external references by book, page, and author, and appended alphabetical indexes of sources and subject topics .
