Appended at the end of the manuscript is a treatise by another scholar, Shams al-Din Ibn Amir Hajj al-Halabi, titled Ta'rif al-Mustarshid fi Hukm al-Ghiras fi al-Masjid (Informing the Seeker regarding Planting inside the Mosque) .

Method and Reception

In these treatises, Ibn Qutlubugha presents legal topics with doctrinal analysis, engaging with evidence and viewpoints across schools without partisan bias . His discussions cite his teachers, course readings, and references to his other writings, such as his commentary on Muqaddimat al-fara'id .

Many of these treatises were documented by his contemporary al-Sakhawi in his biographical dictionary . Later Hanafi scholars frequently cited the collection under the title Fatawa al-Allama Qasim (The Fatwas of the Scholar Qasim); Ibn Nujaym referenced it in al-Bahr al-Raiq, and Ibn Abidin drew upon it in Radd al-Muhtar, explicitly citing several treatises by their individual titles .

Manuscript and Publication

The collection is preserved in a manuscript codex held at Princeton University Library (Garrett Collection, MS 3393), consisting of 123 folios written in a clear hand .

An edited edition of the collection, prepared and annotated by Abd al-Hamid Muhammad al-Darwish and Abd al-Alim Muhammad al-Darwish, was published in one volume by Dar al-Nawadir (Syria – Lebanon – Kuwait) in 1434 AH / 2013 CE .
