al-Mawsu‘a al-Fiqhiyya al-Muyassara fi Fiqh al-Kitab wa al-Sunna al-Mutahhara (The Facilitated Jurisprudential Encyclopedia According to the Book and the Pure Sunnah) is a seven-volume compendium of Islamic jurisprudence authored by Husayn al-Awaysha (Husayn ibn ‘Awda al-‘Awaysha) .
Purpose and Methodology
Al-‘Awaysha compiled the work to address what he viewed as a pressing need for a comprehensive, accessible jurisprudential manual grounded in authenticated evidence from the Quran, the Sunnah, and the reports of the righteous predecessors (al-Salaf al-Salih), while remaining free from obscurity, unnecessary complexity, and sectarian adherence (ta‘assub) to any single legal school or scholar .
In structuring his chapters and formulating section titles and arguments, al-‘Awaysha drew extensively upon Fiqh al-Sunna by Sayyid Sabiq, as well as annotations on al-Shawkani’s al-Rawda al-Nadiyya by Muhammad al-Hallaq . The work also incorporates the legal verifications, hadith gradings, and direct personal consultations of his teacher, Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, whom al-‘Awaysha frequently consulted on complex questions during its writing .
