Ahkam al-Nisa - Mustakhlasan min Kutub al-Albani (Legal Rulings Concerning Women: Extracted from the Books of al-Albani) is a legal compilation compiled by Abu Malik Muhammad ibn Hamid ibn Abd al-Wahhab, gathering the juristic rulings and commentary of Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani regarding women .

Purpose and Composition

In the introduction, the compiler notes that al-Albani held significant standing among students of Islamic knowledge and revitalized hadith scholarship in the contemporary era, but authored few dedicated works in systematic jurisprudence (fiqh) . To address this and serve students of knowledge, he extracted al-Albani's scattered juristic determinations and explanatory notes across his diverse publications and arranged them systematically . The author noted that he had previously compiled a similar extracting work from al-Albani's writings titled Fara'id al-Shawarid lima fi Kutub al-Albani min Fawa'id, alongside preparing forthcoming works titled al-Jami' fi Ahkam al-Salat and 'Ulum al-Hadith .

Structure and Method

The work is organized according to conventional thematic chapters of Islamic jurisprudence, opening with the book of purification (Kitab al-Taharah) and addressing topics such as the impurity of menstrual blood . The compiler presents the relevant prophetic traditions followed by al-Albani's extensive source-critical discussions (takhrij), evaluations of transmission chains and narrators, corrections of scholarly oversights, and the derived legal rulings .
