Muhammad Sabah Mansur is a contemporary Hadith scholar and manuscript editor known for his critical monograph al-I'lam bi-Naqd Kitab al-Rawd al-Bassam.

Scholarly Contributions

In Hadith criticism, Mansur authored al-I'lam bi-Naqd Kitab al-Rawd al-Bassam ("The Notification Regarding the Critique of the Book al-Rawd al-Bassam"), published in 1423 AH (2003 CE) in Kuwait. The treatise offers concise remarks and rectifications on al-Rawd al-Bassam, a Hadith arrangement and grading work produced by Jasim al-Fuhayd al-Dawsari. Mansur observed that while al-Dawsari had exerted considerable effort, the work contained hundreds of oversights and errors; he compiled his marginalia after consulting scholars and students of knowledge, aiming to offer sincere counsel and defend the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.

Mansur has also worked on editing classical texts, publishing an edition of the manuscript Arus al-Ajza by Masud ibn al-Hasan al-Thaqafi (d. 562 AH / 1167 CE) in 1424 AH (2003 CE).
