Al Saud was appointed to the faculty of the Department of the Qur'an and Sunnah in the Faculty of Da'wah and Usul al-Din at Umm Al-Qura University. His academic research addresses Islamic ethics, legal sociology, and the legal and exegetical status of the Meccan sanctuary.
