Muhammad bin Farid Zaryuh (known by the kunya Abu 'Ubaydah) is a contemporary Moroccan hadith scholar and researcher based in Nador in northern Morocco, best known for his critical study al-Mu‘aradat al-Fikriyya al-Mu‘asira li-Ahadith al-Sahihayn .

Scholarly Activity

In his multi-volume work al-Mu‘aradat al-Fikriyya al-Mu‘asira li-Ahadith al-Sahihayn: Dirasa Naqdiyya (Contemporary Intellectual Objections to the Hadiths of the Two Sahihs: A Critical Study)—the introduction of which he completed in Nador in Dhu al-Hijjah 1440 AH—he examines, classifies, and critiques contemporary intellectual and ideological challenges leveled against the prophetic traditions recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim . The work systematically engages with modern secularist, rationalist, and sectarian polemics across various theological and thematic domains .

In classical manuscript editing, he verified, annotated, and graduated the hadiths for Shart al-Qira'a 'ala al-Shuyukh by Abu Tahir al-Silafi (d. 576 AH) along with its accompanying selection Fawa'id Hisan, published in Riyadh in 1429 AH (2008 CE) .
