Jidal holds a licentiate degree in Islamic legal sciences (līsans fī al-ʿulūm al-sharʿiyyah). The study examines the life, educational role, and reformist activism of al-Arbawi (d. 1405 AH / 1984 CE), a prominent figure of the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars who lived and taught in El Harrach, Algiers. In preparing the biographical account, Jidal relied on primary source material gathered through direct interviews conducted over several meetings with members of al-Arbawi's family in El Harrach, alongside family-preserved notes.
