Issam Musa Hadi is a contemporary Jordanian hadith scholar and editor based in Amman, known for his compilations and editorial work on prophetic traditions, including Sahih Ashrat al-Sa'ah (The Authentic Portents of the Hour).

Scholarly career and methodology

Hadi was closely associated with the hadith methodology of Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, whom he regarded as his teacher and whose critical assessments formed the basis of much of his research. His scholarship focuses on indexing, verifying, and classifying classical hadith literature to make rigorous text-critical findings accessible to students and general readers.

In his eschatological compilation Sahih Ashrat al-Sa'ah, Hadi gathered authenticated prophetic traditions concerning the signs of the Day of Judgment, categorizing them into minor, intermediate, and major portents, while omitting detailed transmission chains to maintain conciseness. In Al-Siraj al-Munir, he reorganized and annotated al-Albani's evaluation of Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti's Sahih al-Jami' al-Saghir, adding source citations, vocalization for ambiguous terms, and explanations of rare vocabulary. He also produced a critical edition of Ibn Majah's Sunan, establishing its text against seven manuscript copies and appending hadith gradings while noting independent assessments where his conclusions diverged from al-Albani's.
