Hamid Mirza al-Farghani (d. 1393 AH / 1973 CE), also known by the nisba al-Namangani, was an Islamic scholar hailing from the Fergana region .

Scholarly Legacy

Al-Farghani authored al-Fath al-Rahmani fi Fatawa al-Sayyid Thabit Abi al-Ma'ani ("The Merciful Opening Regarding the Legal Rulings of Sayyid Thabit Abi al-Ma'ani"), a juridical collection published in Karachi, Pakistan . The work received scholarly interest in later years, with its second volume being edited by the Syrian scholar Ibrahim al-Ya'qubi .
