Hamid Husayn Qadir is a modern researcher and Islamic scholar associated with the library of the Faculty of Hadith at the Islamic University of Madinah . He is known for his study Muʿjizāt al-Qurʾān al-ʿIlmiyya (The Scientific Miracles of the Quran), which examines the cosmological and natural indications found in the Quran .
Study of Quranic Miracles
In his treatise Muʿjizāt al-Qurʾān al-ʿIlmiyya, Qadir analyzes various cosmological and biological subjects by integrating classical Quranic commentary with observations regarding the physical universe . Addressing the theme of cosmic unity and the origin of life under the verse أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلا يُؤْمِنُونَ ("Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?"), he discusses the primordial cohesion and subsequent separation of the cosmos . He emphasizes the indispensable role of water in sustaining living organisms, pointing out that celestial bodies lacking water, such as the Moon and Venus, are uninhabitable, and he connects these conclusions to Prophetic reports on creation .
