Fuad ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Shalluhub is a contemporary Saudi researcher and author based in Riyadh, known for his writings on Islamic education and jurisprudence, including al-Mu'allim al-Awwal ﷺ (The First Teacher ﷺ).
Scholarly Contributions and Reception
In pedagogical studies, al-Shalluhub authored al-Mu'allim al-Awwal ﷺ, in which he addressed the virtues of teaching and examined instructional principles and teacher ethics modeled upon prophetic practice and hadith literature.
In legal literature, he collaborated with Abd al-Wahhab ibn Dhafir al-Shahri to compile and classify al-Ijma' (Consensus), a work published in Riyadh in 1418 AH by Dar al-Qasim that gathers the legal consensus statements cited by Ibn Abd al-Barr. Later scholars of fiqh characterized this compilation as an arrangement of consensus rulings drawn exclusively from Ibn Abd al-Barr's al-Tamhid across legal subject headings, presenting them without additional commentary, critical debate, or citations of underlying proofs.
