Awad Abd al-Hadi al-Atta (also written al-Awad Abd al-Hadi al-Atta) is an academic scholar who served as an assistant professor at the College of Hadith at the Islamic University of Madinah .
Academic Career and Research
Al-Atta contributed scholarly treatises published in the Journal of the Islamic University of Madinah (Majallat al-Jami'ah al-Islamiyyah bi-al-Madinah al-Munawwarah). His research addressed Islamic historiography, the prophetic biography, and responses to Western Orientalist scholarship .
Among his published studies is al-Jihad bayna 'Aqidat al-Muslimin wa-Shubuhat al-Mustashriqin ("Jihad Between the Creed of Muslims and the Doubts of Orientalists"), published in 1423 AH (2002 CE), which explores the Islamic concept of jihad and examines the arguments raised against it by Orientalists . His other academic papers include al-Mustashriqun... wa-al-Sirah al-Nabawiyyah ("Orientalists... and the Prophetic Biography") and Manhaj al-Mu'arrikhin al-Muslimin fi al-Ta'lif ("The Methodology of Muslim Historians in Authorship") .
