In this work, al-Hamad focused on Ibn Hazm’s theological positions concerning the divine essence, names, and attributes, presenting his views and assessing where his independent reasoning (ijtihād) diverged from the consensus of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamaʿah. In 1408 AH (1987 or 1988 CE), he also published al-Siḥr bayna al-Ḥaqīqah wal-Khayāl ("Magic between Reality and Illusion").
