Al-Mutawwa is best known for his monograph al-Da‘wa al-Islāḥiyya fī Bilād Najd ‘alā Yad al-Imām al-Mujaddid Shaykh al-Islām Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb wa-A‘lāmuhā min Ba‘dih ("The Reform Call in the Land of Najd at the Hands of the Renewer Imam, Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, and Its Prominent Figures After Him") .
