Abd Allah Nadhir Qashlan is a contemporary Syrian researcher in Islamic jurisprudence, known for his work al-Masail al-Fiqhiyya fi Daw Ma Uttafeqa Alayhi fi al-Taharat (Juridical Issues in Light of What Is Agreed Upon Concerning Purifications) .

Education and Teachers

Qashlan was introduced to religious knowledge by his father, Nadhir Ahmad Qashlan . He pursued his formal studies at the Islamic Fath Institute (Ma'had al-Fath al-Islami) in Damascus, where he completed his graduation thesis during the 1420–1421 AH (1999–2000 CE) academic year .

Among the scholars under whom he studied and to whom he expressed indebtedness at the institute were Adib al-Kallas, Abd al-Fattah al-Bizm, and Husam al-Din al-Farfur . His graduation research was supervised by Shaykh Ahmad Umar al-Misri .

Scholarly Work and Reception

Qashlan prepared his graduation project on comparative rulings in ritual purity under the title al-Masail al-Fiqhiyya fi Daw Ma Uttafeqa Alayhi fi al-Taharat . The treatise received a commendatory review (taqriz) from Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Latif al-Farfur, who praised it as an auspicious early effort, while offering critical suggestions regarding grammatical points, the standardization of source citations, and relying on authoritative fatwa references for each school rather than introductory teaching texts . Al-Farfur advised him not to rush its publication until thoroughly edited, which Qashlan carried out before publishing the revised work .
