Scholarly Contributions
Al-Rahma has focused on historical and biographical studies within Islamic scholarship. In his treatise al-Mustatab fi Asbab Najah Dawat al-Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, he analyzed the foundational religious, methodological, and historical elements underpinning the impact and spread of the reform movement led by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab . In this study, he emphasized the primacy of doctrinal rectitude based on tawhid (Islamic monotheism) and examined the decisive role played by the movement's alliance with a supportive political authority following the pact between Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab and Imam Muhammad ibn Saud .
In the area of contemporary biographical documentation, al-Rahma compiled a 68-page memorial volume commemorating the prominent jurist and judge Abdullah ibn Zayd al-Mahmud following his death . The collection brought together tributes and biographical reflections from prominent figures, including an extensive memorial by Uthman al-Salih addressing his educational mission at the Religious Institute in Qatar, as well as contributions by Salih ibn Sad al-Luhaydan, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Abd al-Rahman al-Zir, and Said ibn Abd al-Wahid . Al-Rahma concluded the volume by proposing the establishment of a charitable foundation in the scholar's name and urging Islamic legal researchers to systematically compile and examine his judicial rulings, fatwas, jurisprudence, and sermons .
