Career and Scholarly Contributions

Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn Ali al-Harafi worked as an official caller (da'iyah) at the Center for Call and Guidance under the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the Eastern Province, operating out of Dammam.

His scholarly output includes Silsilat Mujtama al-Duah ("The Society of Callers Series"), written in 1421 AH (2000–2001 CE) in Dammam, which addresses practical methods for male and female educators to carry out Islamic propagation within the educational sphere. He also compiled Al-Jami li-Ahkam al-Hajj wa-l-Umrah ("The Compendium of Rulings for Hajj and Umrah"), an extensive legal manual that gathers and summarizes the jurisprudential rulings and ijtihad of authoritative classical and modern scholars—including Ibn Qudamah, al-Nawawi, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, and Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz—to facilitate access to pilgrimage regulations. The work was introduced and endorsed by prominent scholars, including Sheikh Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Uqayl and the Grand Mufti Sheikh Abd al-Aziz ibn Abd Allah Al al-Shaykh.
