Abd al-Ilah bin Abdullah bin Ali Jabir is a contemporary Islamic author and researcher known for his abridgment and editorial arrangement of classical theological treatises.
Editorial Activity
Jabir edited and condensed Ibn Taymiyyah's voluminous polemical work al-Jawab al-Sahih liman Baddala Din al-Masih into an abridged edition titled al-Zubad al-Malih min Kitab al-Jawab al-Sahih liman Baddala Din al-Masih (The Pleasant Quintessence of "The Correct Answer to Those Who Altered the Religion of the Messiah"), completed in 1445 AH.
He undertook this abridgment to facilitate access for general readers and students of Islamic sciences who found the original work challenging to navigate due to its length and extensive digressions. His editorial method focused on gathering the author's dispersed statements and arguments on Christian theology and doctrines into unified sections, omitting tangential digressions, and reorganizing the topics into a systematic structure while preserving Ibn Taymiyyah's original expressions and style.
