Academic career and scholarship
Muzhir worked as an assistant professor of hadith in the literary departments of the College of Education for Girls in Riyadh . His research addressed hadith criticism, the methodology of Islamic authorship, and community preaching .

He also examined classical scholarly composition in his study Qawa'id al-Ikhtisar al-Manhaji fi al-Ta'lif (Rules of Methodological Abridgment in Authorship), setting guidelines to preserve the original author's intended benefits during the process of summarization .
Muzhir also authored Khutbat al-Jumua wa Dawruha fi Tarbiyat al-Umma (The Friday Sermon and Its Role in Educating the Ummah), a four-chapter work analyzing the elements of effective preaching, the psychological and social needs of congregants, and the regular educational role of the Friday sermon across Muslim society .
