Al-Mudayhish was also renowned for his skill as a professional copyist (warraq), distinguished by rapid and elegant handwriting; among his surviving manuscript copies is Ibn Qudamah's legal manual al-Umdah fi al-Fiqh, completed in Dhu al-Hijjah 1304 AH .
