Abd al-Awwal ibn Hammad al-Ansari (d. 1443 AH / 2021–2022 CE) was a scholar and compiler known for authoring the comprehensive biographical work on his father, the hadith scholar Hammad ibn Muhammad al-Ansari .

Al-Ansari compiled and edited al-Majmu fi Tarjamat al-Allama al-Muhaddith al-Shaykh Hammad ibn Muhammad al-Ansari (The Compendium on the Biography of the Scholar and Hadith Master Shaykh Hammad ibn Muhammad al-Ansari), which was published in 1422 AH .
In this work, he assembled materials documenting his father's life and scholarly heritage, including biographical accounts written by other scholars, recorded personal statements, chains of transmission (asanid), and critical appraisals . He also provided his own editorial comments and clarifications on transmitted texts and chains within the compendium .
